Jane Frisch Counseling LLC
Compassionate Counseling for Lasting Change
Making the decision to start therapy takes courage, and it is natural to feel anxious about contacting a therapist for the first time. My goal is to make this process easier for you. You can schedule an introductory call either by video or phone to get to know me. When we talk, I will ask you about your goals for therapy, and we will decide together if I am a good fit for you.
I look forward to getting to know you and talking about how therapy or career coaching can help you achieve your goals and build a more satisfying life.

I am a licensed professional counselor who provides individual therapy and couples counseling and have experience helping people manage issues such as anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties. I also help people navigate transitions in their lives and teach them skills to more effectively cope with the stresses of life. I provide a confidential and non-judgmental space for you to talk about your feelings, and I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work as partners to improve your overall well-being.
Additionally, I can provide career focused therapy to help clients make positive changes in their work lives. I work individually with each client to develop a plan that can include assessments, research on careers and the job market, and job search/career planning. Your Questions Answered
Therapy is a journey, and it’s natural to have questions. Here are some common inquiries to help you understand the process better.
What can I expect during my first session?
During your first session, we’ll discuss your goals and concerns. It’s an opportunity to get to know each other and establish a comfortable, trusting environment.
Is everything I share kept confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Your privacy is protected, and information is only shared with your consent or as required by law.
How long does therapy usually last?
The duration of therapy varies for each individual. Some clients find resolution in a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Clients get the most benefit from consistently attending weekly sessions.
What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?
Feeling nervous is completely normal. Remember, therapy is a safe space designed to support you, and we’ll work together at your pace.
Can therapy help with career transitions?
Absolutely. Therapy can provide valuable insights and strategies to help you navigate career changes and make informed decisions.
How do I know if therapy is working?
Progress in therapy can be seen through improved mood, better coping strategies, and a greater sense of well-being. However, you may sometimes feel an increase in symptoms in response to our work together. This is a normal and expected part of therapy. We’ll regularly review your goals to ensure you’re on track.
